Blitzkrieg is the latest WWII strat game from German developers
CDV. The game allows you to choose between, allied, German &
Russian forces and the elements available to you in each campaign
era accurately reflect those that were available.

Each campaign is divided in various theatres, and each theatre
contains a selection of missions that you are required to undertake
in order to complete it. Once these ‘main’ scenarios
are completed, the theatre can be closed, however, you have the
option to choose others that help you gain in experience &
rank, allowing you access to advanced troops (only the best Generals
get the latest technology). Once the theatre is closed, there
is no going back & you then move on to the next. more

Blitzkrieg may seem like a difficult game to start playing. It's
another European 2D real-time strategy game set in World War II,
like the Sudden Strike series. It isn't particularly flashy, and
it doesn't have any especially innovative features or revolutionary
concepts. It's also rather unpolished. But while the game may
not make a very remarkable first impression, it does have some
strong gameplay elements that give it some real substance and
help make it deserving of your attention. more

German developer Nival Interactive has strived to create a game
just as intimidating as the definition itself. Blitzkrieg is a
WWII RTS (Real Time Strategy) that pushes forward all authentic
units, weapons, and missions spanning from three countries, allowing
the player to play through some of the most famous battles of
the most brutal worldwide war. Pulling this off was not an easy
task, and because of this, flaws are easily pointed out in what
could’ve been the greatest WWII RTS ever. more
