Medal of Honor Allied Assault : Spearhead

The expansion pack to one of 2002's most popular games, I go into the trenches with Spearhead and send in this report from the frontline.....

Medal of Honor was one of the most popular games in the world with over 50 thousand people playing this game using Gamespy Arcade alone, and with sales rocketing once word got out, i think EA Hit the nail on the head...

So with EA games trying to extend the life of MOH:AA by bringing out an expansion , i now let you know is the £30 ur gonna pay be worth it?

Single Player

New Missions, New People, New Skins, New Weapons and lots more interactive objects make the single player more fun than the original, but the downfall of this is the missions are very short and come in a small number, it's sad to see that the expansion doesnt carry a ton load more of missions, but instead has focused more on the mulitplayer side of the game....
Never the less the enemy has become smarter and are harder to kill than the first one, so no commandos needed, this is a team game....

Multiplayer

The New Maps and Skins and Weapons make blowing apart your local enemy via a LAN game or ur friend from America via the internet, make this so much more fun...
More levels meen more objectives, and now with a "tug of war game" both teams have objectives......making the game even sided....no more defend and attack..
So for example, on one map you have an these objectives....

Axis - Destroy the allied truck to disable the respawn ability - clever huh
Defend the Flak 88, Bunker, Power Room and the front gates.
Allies - Take Control of the Flak 88, Destroy the Bunker, Disable the Power and Open the fron gates

Conclusion

All in all this game has progressed further than imagined and also has kept the magic touch that is EA games, i have been looking forward to this expansion for a very long time and have enjoyed playing it.
So Yes i would definetly say buy this game, but if your interested in the missions rather than multiplay then ur gonna find they end pritty quick, but if u want new multiplayer abilities and wanna kick internet butt then look no further, because this game has it all......
